When you are buying capital equipment — a machine you will operate for 15 years and on which your production capacity depends — the supplier's credibility is as important as the equipment specification. This article gives you a transparent overview of how HOPEX designs, manufactures, and tests roll forming equipment before it ships.
Who Is HOPEX?
HOPEX (Xiamen) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. is a specialized manufacturer of heavy-duty cold roll forming production lines, based in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. Our focus is narrow by design: we do not manufacture general-purpose machine tools or unrelated industrial equipment. Every production line we supply falls within one of five product families:
- Cable Tray Roll Forming Machines — for trough, ladder, and solid-bottom cable tray production
- Solar Structure Roll Forming Machines — for solar mounting channels, purlins, and rails
- Rack Roll Forming Machines — for storage upright, beam, and brace production
- Highway Guardrail Roll Forming Machines — for W-Beam and Thrie-Beam production
- Customized Cold Roll Forming Lines — light gauge steel framing, cut-to-length, and slitting lines
This focus means our engineering team — mechanical designers, electrical engineers, PLC programmers — works exclusively on roll forming systems. We do not try to be good at everything; we try to be the most capable team in this specific manufacturing domain.
Manufacturing and Quality Standards
Material Specification Control
The core structural components of every HOPEX machine — main frame beams, forming shafts, and cutting frames — are manufactured from certified structural steel with mill certificates reviewed before fabrication begins.
Roll tooling (the rollers themselves) is manufactured from Cr12MoV die steel, CNC-turned on precision lathes to ±0.01 mm dimensional tolerance, and heat-treated to HRC 58–62. Each roller set is inspected with a profile projector against the design drawing before assembly.
Assembly and Alignment Verification
After assembly, every machine undergoes a four-stage inspection:
- Mechanical alignment check: centerline alignment of all forming stations verified with a precision laser measurement system. Maximum deviation: 0.05 mm.
- Electrical system test: all drives, sensors, and PLC inputs/outputs verified against the wiring diagram before any forming trial.
- Dry-run test: machine run at operating speed without material to verify drive synchronization, lubrication system function, and control interface operation.
- Material trial with customer specification: machine run with the customer's target material (gauge and grade) producing sample profiles. All critical dimensions measured and compared to drawing before sign-off.
Control System Standards
We specify Mitsubishi, Siemens, or Delta PLC systems depending on project requirements. Servo systems use Mitsubishi or Yaskawa drives. We do not use locally-manufactured PLC or servo alternatives where name-brand components are specified — the after-sales support network and spare parts availability are too important to risk on unknown brands.
Certifications
HOPEX machines are designed and tested in compliance with:
- ISO 9001:2015 quality management system
- CE marking for machines exported to European markets (machinery directive compliance)
- Machine-specific SGS inspection available on request for letter-of-credit or financing requirements
Copies of all certification documentation are available for qualified buyers upon request.
Global Installation References
Our roll forming lines are currently operating in manufacturing facilities across:
- Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines
- South Asia: India, Bangladesh, Pakistan
- Middle East: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt
- Africa: Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa
- South America: Brazil, Chile, Mexico
For any region, we can connect potential buyers with an existing customer reference — a manufacturer running the same or similar machine to what you are evaluating. We encourage this due diligence and make the introduction directly.
What Happens After the Machine Ships
Training
Operator and maintenance training is delivered on-site during installation. The training program covers:
- Startup and shutdown procedures
- Recipe entry and product changeover
- Lubrication schedule and daily maintenance
- Fault diagnosis and first-line troubleshooting
- Roller change and alignment adjustment
Warranty and After-Sales
Standard warranty is 24 months on mechanical and electrical components (excluding normal wear items: punch dies, shear blades, rollers). During and after the warranty period, we provide:
- Remote technical support (video call, PLC remote access)
- Spare parts supply — standard wear parts ex-stock, major components available within 15–30 days
- On-site engineer dispatch for issues that cannot be resolved remotely
Start a Conversation
If you are evaluating roll forming equipment for any of our five product lines, we recommend starting with your production brief rather than a general quotation request. The production brief (target profile, annual volume, material specification) lets our engineering team recommend the right configuration rather than the most expensive option.
